Default 627PC

Meeting a guy tomorrow to do a F2F purchase of a 627 Performance Center revolver.

This is the 2 5/8" version, 8 shot.

The first letters of the serial number are CYN, so I think it's fairly recent production.

ANIB with papers and original grips (Eagles I think).

I'd like a sanity check on the price of $900.

For you guys that have one, how do you like it?

Any of you guy's carry this big snubbie?

Dave

I paid $866 shipped for mine brand new from grabagun a few months ago but on GB they typically sell for around $1000+ new and aren't easy to find. In CA that's probably a good deal though but I don't know the market there. Either way it's a great gun, no issues at all with mine, mine came with the same grips as the new 686pc snub (which I just bought yesterday ). I don't carry it though but if I did it'd probably be on the hip as it isn't a small gun. Good luck, post pics when you get it.

I love mine. Extremely accurate with and without a red dot. I carry it some but rather heavy. I'm a big guy and open carry is legal for me so I'm not too worried about printing. It is heavy though. I also have a 327 PC snubby that isn't near as nice to shoot but is much more comfortable carrying. I use a Lobo Leather IWB holster to carry either one. Wish the 327 shot like the 627 or the 627 carried like the 327. .... oh well. I should probably give up carrying the 627 but it is oh so nice.

I use the 5 Star speed loaders and loading blocks. Moon clips haven't been that great for me on the 8 rounders. I like moon clips for 625 .45 ACP (6 shot). The 8 shot moon clips seem a lot more fragile and seem to get bent up and ruined more frequently than the 6 shots.

Hope my experiences help.

I have 2 357s and 2 41 magnums that were bought 15 years ago when these first came out. Back then I paid between $700 and $775 for these 4 wheel guns. So I consider the asking price pretty good.

I have carried mine from time to time, but now that the Night Guards have come out, they are so much easier to carry for a long day

Well, I met the guy and did the deal today.

So in 10 days I'll post pictures when I get my hands on the gun.

The guy I bought it from was the original owner and he said he only took it to the range and fired it twice. Seems right because it looks nearly new.

The eagle grip looks nice, but I really don't like grips that don't have a place for three fingers.

I have an extra pair of Ahrends tactical round butt grips I'll probably put on it when I get it.

This is my first Performance Center gun. These PC guns sure are purtty.
