Excellent idea! Would be good adapted for .45 ACP.

Nice set up and yep, the tackle box is a good idea. I use a pair of needle nose on the hard ones to push them in. Larry

You did a great job making it yourself. I wish I had the know how to make something like that. I could have saved quite a few dollars on the ones I have purchased.

For 45 ACP moon clips I simply use a 6 inch chunk of 9/16 hex shaft. Just to put a handful on the bench, slide the shaft through the clip, and roll it across the extractor grooves.

Very nice work young man! It's kind of hard to tell but is there a washer under the socket to raise the moon clip slightly off the base plate?

Yes, the washer raises the moon clip so that it's in line with the recess on the round. I think it's a standard washer, it's a tad wide for the .357s, they tilt in slightly when loaded. The .38s seem to fit a little better.. nothing an angle grinder can't fix.

Thank you. I thought it had a washer but was not sure if it was just the reflection of the base in the chrome of the socket.
