Default Pawn Shop find

13-3 3" and a 19-4 2 1/2"
Time to go give them both a good cleaning.

You got a pair of good ones. Both are great carry guns, and not all that common.

Noticed you're from SC. I am near Clemson and none of the pawn shops around ever have Smith's. Lots of Rossi, Taurus, etc. Only place I ever see nice Smith's is on here. I am envious of your ability to troll locally for goodies.

Very nice find!

A lack of pawn shops here in the Northeast, means that I can only find good deals via personal transactions

Great find!

Been hunting for a 3" 13 for ages. Probably have a better chance of seeing Santa Claus but I'll keep loking. Congrats on the nice find.

Default Thanks for the comments

Thanks for the comments.

I started out at the Greenville Gun Show at the TD Center yesterday morning and ended up at the pawn shop just prior to them closing at two.

There are a few pawn shops on my way home as well on my way to the golf course so i usually stop at them at least once a week.
Cleaned them both up last night and my son is trying to talk me out of the 19-4
So for the week that's 4 purchased/traded....these two plus a 19-4
4" in a nickel off GB which should be delivered next Friday and a non S&W (H&R 930) that I had to wait 7 days (pawn shop). I told my wife I was going to slow down this year
Happy hunting

Funny, I just started checking Pawn shops last week. Maybe 8-10 between work and home on the local 4 lane road. About 25 miles.

They all had junk at top dollar. Some even priced higher than new!

Heck of a find. Congratulations.

Don't find much in the pawn shops around here.

You're leaving out the best part.

What kind of deal did you get on the pair?

Great finds! I really like that 3" Model 13.

There are plenty of Pawnshops in and around Denver and Colorado Springs. I constantly prowl them for deals and now several of the managers know me by name. Never know what will turn up.... Both of my 3" Model 65's were found in pawnshops.

Deal?
I don't believe I stole them...as others might say I may have bought to soon

Priced at $525.00 for the 13-3 and $750.00 on the 19-4...plus a holster

Traded my SigArms M400 SRP new in box plus some cash...my reasoning is I can buy a AR just about anywhere but as it's been said before "they just don't make these anymore".
Not sure what the going prices are on the 13-3's with a 3 inch barrel but this is the first one I had seen.
So I'm satisfied with the deal and all in all. I believe I'd done OK on my Pawn Shop finds in the past.
Thanks for a wonderful forum....

I don't believe that you paid too much for those guns.

I bet you could list that 3" 13 here on the forum for $600 and sell it within a day........

If I owned a pawnshop that saw Smiths come in, they'd never hit the sales floor. Seriously...
