Default Model 60 Cylinder Binding?

I have a S&W Model 60 3" bbl. 357Mag/38 Spcl. 5 shot
When cleaning it yesterday after firing about 30 rounds, I noticed (cylinder was in the open position) that the cylinder seemed to be rotating with slight resistance, as if there was fouling binding it. I put solvent between the ejector rod & the cylinder, but it is still not rotating as freely as normal.
The gun still functions & does not appear loose in any manner.
What could cause this friction? How fix?
Can I remove the ejector rod from the cylinder to disassemble it? How?

Default cylinder binding

Check to see if the ejector rod is coming unscrewed..or you have unburnt powder particles under the extractor star..the ejector rod uses a reverse thread.i.e. turn it counterclockwise to tighten..

Carefully remove the sideplate screw below the cylinder with a properly fitting screwdriver. The crane/cylinder assembly can then be removed. Remove the cylinder from the crane and wipe the gunk off. I use a cleaner-lube called Firepower FP-10 on the bearing surfaces then reassemble the cylinder onto the crane and spin it a few times. Disassemble, wipe the gunk and repeat. After doin' that a few times it should start to spin freely.
