Prefix AYC probably shipped in the fall of 1987, and DCA may be recent or current production...did you buy this one new?
The model 19 is a medium frame carbon steel .357, and the 686 a medium-large frame .357 that is still in production. They were/are all built in Springfield, Massachusetts.
What are the laws to buy and possess handguns in Bulgaria?

Likely shipped in mid-1983.
If others read this, 'please' start a new thread with age requests!

Thanks for the reply!
The laws in Bulgaria for possession of short firearms are quite strict. For possession the person must not convicted, registered in the Police or the mentally ill. Every person may have a large number of weapons, but there is no limitation on the capacity of the magazine (in the US - 10 pcs.)
There has a restriction for ammunition - till 50 pcs. of single unit weapon.
Long guns can only hold hunters or registered athletes.
For policemans regime is more liberal.
