Default sent a 329pd and 629 Vcomp back to S&W one for warranty work one for custom work ?'s

I sent my 329pd in to get a new stainless cylinder to match my 329 AK backpacker. I forgot to ask the cs guy how long it would take to get it back anyone have a ballpark figure of how long I am looking at or similar project? Also probably a stupid question but once the SS cylinder is fitted can the titanium cylinder be used again like swapping the 45acp cylinder for 45 colt in my Ruger Bisley? Probably not everyones thing but I think matching the two 329's is pretty cool.

I had to send my 629 Vcomp in as well it was locked up if you wiggled the cylinder side to side it would allow you to fire then lock up again. No biggie there though I figure that it will be a quick fix and I was impressed so far with how nice and cooperative S&W has been makes me feel good to own them. Its my first time had a problem with any of my Smiths and today the customer service made me warm and fuzzy.

I'd think the Ti cylinder could be swapped onto the crane, in place of the new SS, if the fitting is similar. There may be an issue with endshake &/or timing between the two though. (I sent my 657-5 back for warranty replacement of the cylinder & the new one was timed good but they didn't check the endshake & I had to add a shim/bearing to take up the difference in play.)

In the past (last year), they completed warranty work in less than two weeks but custom work (different front sight) took 9 weeks more. No telling what the current turn-around time is though. Hopefully it'll be quick for you.
