Anyone know anything about them? Are they S&W or aftermarket? Thanks

They are on a 657-4. Someone mentioned they might be a special order set of 'Homewood' grips from S&W.

Never heard of such. Anyone?

They are "factory aftermarket". Altamont, S&W's current OEM supplier, makes them.

Anything 'special' about them? I went to Altamonts website and didn't see em. Does the term 'Homewood' mean anything in s&w vernacular? Google search not producing.

Altamont's site shows a set for J-frames towards the bottom of the page but I think it says something about them being a special order or something like that.

I have never heard the term "homewood" and have no idea what that means or what it is.
