Default IWB Holster For 649?

I'm having a hard time finding a IWB holster for my 649. Any suggestions? Pictures with gun in the holster would be helpful. Thanks...

Hey, Northern. Don't know if you have the original 649 in .38 or the later Magnum version which is a little stretched. I have the Model 60 Mag which is the same length, cylinder/bbl.

All I use IWB is the Bianchi suede clip pouch. It fits both variations. Sorry, can't post picture. Think this job goes for about $30 from Bianchi/Safariland. All I need.

Default Bianchi model 6 D IWB holster NOT for a S&W 649

I bought the Bianchi model 6 D IWB holster for a S&W 649. The retention strap is too far forward to hold a shrouded hammer revolver. If you are looking for retention for a shrouded hammer revolver I would look elsewhere.

Which way are you wanting to carry? For the last month or so I've been carrying AIWB and I like it a LOT more than IWB 4 oclock. I use a Galco C139L STO158. I don't know the name of it.....

I carry a model 49 most of the time, and although I have several holsters for it, my holster of choice is a Sticky holster. No straps or clips, it allows me to carry in my pocket, AIWB, or IWB, basically anywhere I want. Remora is a fine choice as well. Fancy leather is cool, but these are simple, easy, and comfortable. The Sticky goes for about $25 and the Remora for about $35.

Not with my 49 in it, but the same holster with a Shield.

Here's a Glock in a Remora.

I'm wearing the 49 in the Sticky as we speak, barely notice it's even there.

Check out the Crossbreed Supertuck. It's the style I used when I carried J frames IWB. Leather for comfort against the skin, kydex for structure with the least thickness, and 2 belt clips that allow adjustment for height above the belt line and cant, with no risk the holster will rotate forward or back over the course of the day (which happens with the single clip IWB holsters I've tried.) Here's a video review, FYI.

I have a well worn thin suede leather clip on IWB Bianchi holster that I'v used for close to 40 years to carry either a Model 36 or Model 38 Airweight and it does the job with minimal bulk or discomfort, it has no restraining strap and provides quick access to either model J frame. Plenty of preowned examples available for short money.
