A snubbie fan doesn't try on new pants to see if they fit, he's only interested in how his snubbie in a pocket holster fits the pants pockets.

Wait a minute, you got a few 3" guys in there, do they count as snubbies?
PS: Nice collection.

With only 3 snubbies, I'm not sure that I qualify as a fanboy yet. Also have a 4" GP-100 and some semi-autos.

Actually more 3 and 3 1/2 inch guns than 2 and 2.5 inch. The pre 10 has moved on to a new owner. I carried 2.5 and 3 inch guns during my career and really could tell little difference in how they carried, so I consider them to be "snubbies." The 3.5 inch N frames also qualify, to me, due to the increased size.

I saw the machine engraved Model 442 at the gun show today. Had me so shook up the guy asked if I was all right, haha.
I said, "Yeah, I don't have $750 bucks to buy that revolver from you, is my only real problem right now". Man, what a sexy little snubby!

I think I'm guilty
Got an early '70's Mod 36-1, RB, three incher, a mid '50's Mod 37. RB, flat latch, two incher. A mid '80's 3" Mod 10-8, RB w/ orig box. And lastly, a hammer-shrouded Colt Agent w/ matching #'s box from late 1970's.
I often grab my snubbies, for CCW, over my semi-autos. Can't go wrong w/a snubbie. Luv 'em

I don't have but two but do I qualify that I have sold all of my medium frame revolvers to own just J-frame snubbies?

SNUB NOSE 15
I'm glad that we agree that it is ok to own more than 1 of the same type. Sometimes these guns are like that song that gets stuck in your head, and you hum it all day. You just can't get enough.

My 642 is threatening to run away from home because it is the only one of one. It "does" look lonesome sitting there in its holster and saying to me "When we gonna go shootin'?".

I'm a firm believer in 3" Snubbies. The old standard for service revolvers was invariably 4" bbls. Many cops offduty carried a 3" Colt or Smith. I like to carry this weapon in a snubbie configuration concealed:

It's a good thing they don't come in a multitude of colors. I'd have one to go with every tie.............
Carried a Model 36 for thirty years, then fell in love with a Model 60 with a 3" barrel. If you have a J frame.......why do you need anything else ?

Gotta speak to snubbyfan on this, he's the club secretary. I have all sorts of administrative functions to perform, nuts and bolts are not my strong suit. As to the secret handshake, Zachary and Natayo, snubbyfan's felines have devised this and they're not talking!

Several decades ago, we were adopted by a very talkative Seal Point Siamese.
Talk about a huntress, we often found an UN-lucky rabbit's foot or two under the front bushes.
At the time, we usually managed to figure out what she wanted, but I seem to have since misplaced the secret decoder ring.

#24 You believe that real snubbies come in 45 ACP, maybe 40 S&W, overall length is the same compared to revolver.

Rumor has it, she always has . . .
The ring may have simply been a diversion to make "her humans" believe they had an edge.

newly guilty of being a snubbie fanboy. I bought my first two revolvers at the end of January of this year. One in fact is a 2" barrel 64-2 and the other a 4" 586 no dash. Now less than six months later I now have three snubbies. I bought a model 642-2 Performance center two months ago and carry it everyday now. My Glock 19 has been sitting in the safe since I got the 642. And now just yesterday I bought a Model 37!! A couple of the salesmen at the gun store told me thanks for buying it because if it was still there next paycheck they were going to buy it.
64-2:
642-2 PC:
And my 37 bought yesterday!!

number 23..
You have bought, sold and traded more snubbies than the 100 average J frame owners combined. I "Think" I have about 20 J frames snubbies plus or minus..but I have bought sold traded at least 2X that many in J, K and N frames just in the last 3 years...I am currently on a "J only" phase but that will change... No doubt in my mind. If I come across any nice pinned snubby at a decent price it's coming home.
#24 You know that there is no such thing as a pre 49 Bodyguard but there is a Pre 38 Airweight Bodyguard.
BTW you have left out the favorite of many..I framed Terriers.
Here are my favorite pre model Snubbies.
A 19-4 traded for some other snubby
A newer model 686 Talo (Traded already)
A 940 (Traded)
One of my K frames..traded already..
And 3" Js are officially considered snubbies (Traded for another snubby)
Pre 27 Snubby N Frame (Sold to buy another Snubby)
Then there is this J frame nut..these are just his Bodyguards and Centennials.

Yes sir, I have. I plan to make a new post about him & the gun when I get it all organized.
He was Sheriff of Washington County, Oklahoma from 1960/61 to 1974. He was Sheriff for 7 consecutive, 2 year terms. From what I have gathered so far, he was very well liked & respected.

Mbliss57,
Yes, I forgot about them. Partly from a lack of experience on my part. There not any around here, except a 4" .32-20 I frame at GM that they want a crazy amount for.

GM wants a crazy price for everything..
The .32 terrier uses the .32 long CTG. It's is an older CTG that is used mostly by us older dudes.. or collectors...the Terrier is a great little pocket gun. I prefer the 38spl for more power though. Although those who carry them have confidence in their capability. In the 1900s until after WW2 the .32 caliber was widely used. Even James Bond carried a Walther in .32 ACP for all but the most recent episodes.

I qualify on most of those, though the vast majority of mine are D frames. I've never owned a J frame but have several N frames with 3 inch barrels.
