whats your latest brand new revolver purchase?
A while back I purchased a brand new s&w model 24 in 44special with a 6 1/2" N frame revolver in that world famous s&w nickel finish. I went back to see what was left on my dealers sale and seen the brand new m24 being in nickel it was all over.
So what was your last brand new s&w purchase??

1989 as I recall. 617 ND wearing a 6-inch barrel. Cost was $292.00. I have bought many S&W's since....none "brand new". Now....if I come across a brand new old stock....that may result in a different outcome.

I'm not a fan of the designs S&W has been putting out as of late, nor will I buy a revolver with an IL and MIM parts, so I treated myself to a NIB 686-4 4". A picture of it is below w/ Ahrends Cocobolo grips.
About a month ago, Top Gun Supply had a sale on 586-4s that were dept. trade ins. My 586-4 I believe was never used as it didn't have one scratch on it, no wear marks, or cylinder ring marks. Both were great finds for me.

I'm the proud owner of a new Model 69...
First new S&W I've bought in 8 years. Couldn't be happier.

624 purchased new in 1987. Wish I could say I still have it. But I do have it's immediate predecessor, 4" 24-3 purchased in 1985.

My latest purchase was in the closing months of last year when I found a NIB 686-1 offered for sale. Very glad I bought it. Profoundly accurate. A delight to handle and shoot.

Model 60 Pro Series 357. Nice little gun, but count me as another one unimpressed by the faint glow of the front "night" sights.
Can you say "recall"?

Last November.
Black Friday special at local store on the .38 Special LCR with the red front site. $299.00. It's my daily carry now.
Before that? It's been many, many years since I bought ANY new gun.

I have new s&w n frames from two 1/2 years ago I didn't shoot yet. I hope to shoot them soon.
I was never interested in a model 24 but with all the other nickel guns gone and the m24 was the last one I figured what the neck.

Wow.....it's been awhile!
My last brand new revolver was my 642 and that's quite some years ago. Before that, as I think about it, and out of the 20 or so S&W revolvers that I have, I think only my Model 27 Classic (2009, I think) and my first Model 10 snubbie (1981) were purchased brand new. The rest all had prior lovers.....but, as opposed to wives, it's not a problem to have shared them with other folks, male or female!
***GRJ***
PS:
None of my other revolvers, non-S&W, were purchased brand new, either!

617-6 last winter.
Such a pleasure and so accurate that my 17-2, 17-4, and 18-4 have not been out of the safe since.
In fact, I'm leaving with it shortly for the regular Tuesday match at my club.
9:30 PM update: 1st place in the match. 617s rule!
And, no, the IL doesn't bother me in the slightest!

I bought a Ruger Flattop 44 Special about two years ago. Great wheelgun at a very fair price. Most new revolvers one sees nowadays are in neither category.

I been very happy with my brand new s&w N frames. My m58 shoots awesome with the 210gr JHP. I woke up the range when everyone was shooting there 9mm's. It was quiet. I didn't shoot the nib m29-10, m57 & m24 yet. There are some awesome buys on brand new s&w revolvers.
The revolver isn't dead yet. I hope the N frames never die.

About a month ago I found a never fired 337ti from a gun collectors estate with inner & outer box no ILS. I guess I have ruined its value now that I have shot it & sometimes carry it. O well. If I found a 66 3inch in the same condition I would do the same to it. Is something wrong with me?

6 months ago I picked up a 686+ 4" for a pt job I'm working. I shoot it better than my 627 pro series. I love it nothing but magnum loads thru it, feels great. I did put some old square butt grips on it because they fit my hand the best

LOL - My last "brand new" S&W purchase was so long ago, and buried under so many "used" S&W purchases that I can't imagine what it was. Sorry, I can't play along on this one.

First of March 2014 bought a brand new 627 Pro Series, first of May 2014 brand new 627 2.6" Performance Center. Before that brand new 500 Magnum at dealer cost when they were first shipped at my cousins gunshop-not sure what the date was but do remember it was only the seconed one in the county at the time and it remains NIB.

It's been awhile for "new" Smith's. But I believe the last new one I picked up was in the summer of 2011-It was a 617-6 6" since I baby my 617 do dash safe queens. Now if we go with the latest Smith picked up, it would be a 610 no dash, 6.5" LNIB I was looking at the 986 or 929 9mm's if I ever do go the new Smith route. By the way, anyone have either of these? If so, what do you think?
