Default Ellett Brothers "12 Revolvers" Set, Several other S&Ws, Colt Python Auction Prices

Went to an auction this weekend and observed the following items sold to highest bidder:

1. Ellett Brothers "12 Revolvers" set, (#132 out of 500), but only had 11 of the revolvers and the book. All were mint, NIB, never fired condition. One of 12 revolvers was kept by a family member, I was told. They broke up the 11 revolvers and the book and sold to multiple people. Final hammer price including buyer's premium and sales tax for the 11 revolvers and book was $6,682 or about $607 per revolver.

2. Colt Python NIB, never fired, absolute stunning mint condition. Nickel 6" version from the mid- to late- 1970s. Final hammer price including buyer's premium and sales tax was $3,848.

3. S&W 686-3; 2.5" snub; NIB, mint condition. Appeared to be unfired. Final hammer price including buyer's premium and sales tax was $933.

4. S&W 650; 3" NIB, mint condition. Appeared to be unfired. Final hammer price including buyer's premium and sales tax was $700.

5. S&W 34-1; 4" NIB, mint condition. Appeared to be unfired. Final hammer price including buyer's premium and sales tax was $583.

6. S&W 53; 6" 4 screw with original box and .22LR inserts (no extra cylinder). Very nice condition. Final hammer price including buyer's premium and sales tax was $1,137.

7. S&W 53; 6" 4 screw without box, no .22LR inserts, no extra cylinder. Very nice condition. Final hammer price including buyer's premium and sales tax was $816.

My thinking was that the auction prices for the S&W revolvers was "reasonable"? Wish I owned about 50 Colt Python revolvers......

What do you think?

Those prices are VERY reasonable, especially for an auction with buyer's premiums and taxes factored in.
