Hello,

I just snatched up a factory new an engraved model 29 with the 4" barrel on gunbroker for $795. I guess I'll end up paying about $850 out the door (shipping/transfer fee). I assume that's a good deal given it's a machine engraved gun.

What have you guys heard about the new model 29s? I have an older model 36 j frame made in the 80s and a fairly new 686p. I just wanted to get into the big bore business and this seems like a beautiful gun.

I have a new blue mod 29-10 that I bought a couple months ago. Love the gun. Beautiful finish on it , very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I put a set of Pachmyr grips on it though because the wooden grips that came on it just didn't fit me as well. You'll be very happy with it. I just saw one of the engraved ones at the gun shop today and I really liked it. They didn't have one when I bought mine or I would've gotten the engraved one instead. Good luck with it.
