UPDATE::Model 15-4 reverse pinto opinions. Jink's Letter returned
Update; after waiting 4 months and a couple days, I received my official letter from Mr. Jinks. The gun actually left the factory as a blued Model 15. The nickerl frame was done after it left the factory. Of course I was disappointed, but that is life!!
I bought this gun without seeing it as I was worried about losing it. I gambled hoping it might be a pinto. It arrived quickly and is in as good a shape as a 30 year old gun can be and looks as though it has only been fired a few times. No box or papers; it had presentation pachmayrs but I took them off and put on some K frame grips
The only problem I can find is that there is no N stamp on the frame. Everything else is there.
Anybody have a reverse pinto with no N stamp? Could there be such a creation? Give me a reason to seek a letter from Mr. Jinks.

I do not know the answer to your questions but did want to say that looks very nice.
I think the reason to letter it would be to see if it left the factory as is. That's probably the only way you'll know.

The only discrepancy I see is a "reverse pinto" would have a blue thumb latch, but as bamabiker noted it may letter as original...you pays your money, you takes your chances on the letter .

No N stamp
There is no N stamp on this 19-3 reverse pinto. The letter tells the story. I think you might want to letter yours.
The gun itself is a well used and well worn .357, loved by the early owner. One of ten in this special order, I have preserved it for the rest to enjoy.
Have fun finding these rare birds.

The original owner said he bought it new in 1981 just as it is because it was a pinto. I am glad to hear DaveGarage's doesn't have the N stamping either.
Thanks for the replies so far!!
Making me feel like I can keep my hopes up.
