It has been a fun week for me.
I went the whole first half of the year putting money in my slush fund savings.
I am glad I did, I bought a 625JM on Tuesday and bought a 686 Deluxe on Saturday. I will get it tomorrow.
They have not gotten any new Smith revolvers in quite a while. When I was doing the paperwork for the new 625JM I noticed two new Smiths.
I had left a Moon clip on the counter, They called me and I went in two days later to get it. When I was there I asked to look at the 686 Deluxe and a 686 Plus. I have wanted a 6 inch 686. I asked for a price quote to see if they would come down and if I could swing the price. They quoted me a price of $715.00 for the Deluxe. The 686 Plus was more money and not what I wanted.
Was $715.00 a good price for the deluxe? I do not see any on the auction sites to compare it to.
I know the cylinder holds 1 more bullet and the barrel is 2 inches longer and the grips are a nice looking wood finish.
Are there any other differences between the 686-6 4 inch 6 shot and the Deluxe?

Does your wife know that you bought 2 guns in 1 week? Can't help you on the 686. I have a 686-3, 6" Do also have a 625 JM (2009) gun. Be careful that you buy quality moon clips. Congratulations X 2!! Bob

If you bought the gun and were satisfied with the deal forget about what other people think is a good deal, your happy and let it be.
I have never regretted buying a gun if I thought it was a good price, I have regretted passing up what I thought was a good deal.

I was married for 25 years, Had two beautiful daughters that are out of college and on their own. The marriage ended on good terms mostly for the girls sake and granddaughter.
I only have to argue with myself when making a purchase. The rule I have is there has to be money in my fun money savings account, toys cannot put it on credit. Cash only.

I feel after having the gun and shooting it is was a fantastic deal. You are correct in the way you look at it ejeli
