I believe this 624 LH has found it's home.
Just purchased this from another forum member. My soon to be duty gun. Plan on qualifying with it tomorrow. Went a head and put 6 down range at 10 yards, double action. I'm a happy detective right now.

They're going to let a Peace Officer carry a cannon at work? :-0
Hallelujah! 'Bout dang time I heard of some common sense being applied somewhere. They "let" me carry a 64-6 at work, but if I had my druthers, it'd be my 624 4-incher!
Nice looking piece, BTW. I am a sucker for three inch wheelguns, but in this case, I got what I was after. I hope you didn't pay as much as I did, I just had to have it!

If it's a quality handgun chambered in no less than 9mm and no more than .45(can't carry magnum ammo) and you can qualify with it on the required course of fire. You can carry it.

I have a 624 LH as well, its my favorite wheelgun and .44 is my favorite caliber for wheelies. Today I went to a gun show here and never made it past the first booth. I bought a mdl 21, 4 inch Thunder Ranch in .44 Spl. Didn't even have to hide it from the wife, in fact she wrote the check. Love it when a plan comes together, even better when it just happens.

I've always wanted a model 24 even long before I got into LE. After working in investigations since 09 and I believe that is where I'll be when I retire and it occurred to me I should incorporate my grail gun with my grail job. I did decide however that since it would be a work gun it should be stainless and when I saw the LH 624 I knew that would be the choice. Problem is everyone thinks they should just sit in a safe and be "collected". Took a while to find one that was not perfect, in the box wih tools papers blah blah blah. It's an AWSOME revolver for work.

That's some fine shootin there hoss. I know it's at 10 yrds. but most folks that I see at the range couldn't hit the broad side of a barn even at 10yrds. shooting DA. Nice gun too !

Just picked this one up today, it's a 24-3.
of course it's not stainless... but these are.
Both 624ND
Even found one of these!
696
Safe to say 44Spl is VERY special.
Consider a load of 6.5g W231 under a 250g SWC, it's an 850fps load that's really nice!

For CC, I find that my M696 has it over my M21-4 or M431.
I don't like Adj rear sights but the action is so much better then the other two in .44 Spl.

Another huge fan of the .44 Special here.
And if this is gonna turn into a picture thread.........
This 624 LH is currently listed in the classifieds for trade. Hoping to swap it for something on my wish list. Don't really need it as I already have a 3" 24-3 and I do prefer blue over stainless.
But, I took it to the range last week and now I'm thinking I might just find some better grips and use it for a trail/camp gun.
Then again, gun shows the next two weekends. Never know what I might trade for.
Decisions, decisions..........

If I had the money, I'd collect S&W revolvers in .44 Special.
I've been wanting a 21, 24, and 624 for many years.

My 624 snub is the most cherished revolver I own. Here are a few frequently posted photos of my 624, along with its recently acquired sibling ... a Ruger Alaskan snub. They enjoy each other's company, and share time in the woods and on the range.

Nice gun, nice shooting, and I'd have to shake the hand of anyone with a badge I happened to note with such a fine firearm!
Proposed to the misses over HER 624 and some range time. Have others we like to shoot more but none as 'special.'
