Had to dig around a bit to find one with a scope but here's my squirrel gun; 648 with Leupold.

M69, 4 1/4" L Frame .44 Mag w/Leupold 4x. Scoped for accuracy testing. Turns out to be a very handy little package - compact and reasonably light weight (48.3oz on my food scale). Probably more practical w/2x Leupold

FA97 3 1/2" round butt .45 Colt w/2x Leupold -- looks funny, but handles real well and only weighs about 43 oz.

FA97 5 1/2" .357 Mag w/2x Leupold.

These are the only ones I have pictures. Took the pictures some time ago because these shorter/smaller guns are typically not scoped.

FWIW,

Paul

I only have one scoped revolver, but it's a good one: Model 686-3 with fully adjustable front and rear sights with a 2x Leupold scope. It's scary accurate and a lot of fun to shoot.

Regards,

Dave

A Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter with a Ultradot 30mm dot sight. Got this in a trade back in 1998 when SBH Hunters were kinda hard to find. It's from the first run, probably made in about '95-'96, before they put the Hunter back in production in the 2000's.

Picture of the first deer I took with it in January of 1999 during a snow storm. Had a 30mm Tasco ProClass 2x scope on it then.

Gotta get some better pictures. These are pretty sad, but all I've got.

Here is a pair from the 70's that I still have. Model 27 on top and K22 on bottom, both with Leopold 4X Gold Ring EER scopes. Sorry the background is just an old gun case but it is a picture I had long time.

Put a scope on my 620 just to see what it could do.-scoped-620-jpg

Yeah, I put a scope on a 4 inch L frame, wanted to see what it could do. Instead discovered that even after 6 weeks of practicing twice a week I have some limitations. Off a sandbag rest the best I could do was 4 rounds into 7/8 inch at 50 yards.

Four shots into under an inch at 50 yds! I hope you're not disappointed. I'd be crowing about that to everyone I knew. Scope or no scope.

Not a Smith but it IS a Wesson!

Scope is a Bushnell 2x32.
Now I wish I had obtained an extra barrel shroud so I could easily
switch to iron sights when needed.
The whole thing is kind of unwieldy.
I shoot my Encore in this caliber a lot more often.
It has aperature sights.

Another great shooter is this 28-2 with a Burris 2 3/4X scope. I like the vintage look.

Sorry, not a Smith but it's the only scoped hand gun I have.

Burris scope and a hair trigger. More accurate than I could ever hope to shoot it.

It loves to shoot Tannerite!

I took the Swift off and put on a Leupold. I was afraid the Swift couldn't stand up to the fierce recoil of the 22 long rifle, full house loads.

The one and only. Pre lock 629PP.

It had a 2 lb single action trigger and was capable of the same accuracy as the Mini-14 I owned at the time with the same optic. I no longer own either.

Good question. Some don't seem to get the implied covenant here that Smith & Wesson rules. Nice Contender.

Well the thread title is "scoped handgun picture thread", it says nothing about S&W or revolvers... I of course posted my scoped S$W revolver first however!

6" 629-6 with Weaver H2 2x28 - and Hogue/S&W .500 Magnum monogrip.

Mount rings are loose - they await a drop of rubber cement (Adds friction yet peels away.). Most of my 629s' life is spent with wood grips, iron sights, and launching .44 Specials and Russians.

Default My S&W Scoped 629s 4" and 6.5"

Here are my two scoped Smiths, with my Leupold Variable Scope. Found the 4" got so much GSR on the lens it got hard to shoot after just a bit. Plus it kicked like a mule. Loved the 6.5" it was sweet.

Some may not be aware, but T/C products including my Encore are now made by S&W.
It says "Made by S&W" right on the frame and has a Smith style serial #.
The lockwork has been slightly redesigned as well.
It is very similar to the old rebounding hammer guns now.
As heavy as the springs are, I am amazed at how good the trigger is.

Only photo I have of my Model 41 7 inch tube, Conetrol mount, Leupold 2x scope. This from my friend first time shooting at all. Winter in Alaska. I told her to dress well for going to the shooting club...and she did for a club. Good sport though and we just kept the car running and the heater on high. She now has a couple of her own firearms.

Here's my model 53 in 22 Remington Jet. The guy I bought it from claimed he used it for coyote hunting. I've fired it a few times at my gun club and it shuts down the range each time! I have the invoice for the revolver and the previous owner bought it used in 1977 for $402.

That's real old school. I believe that is a Bushnell Phantom scope and mount. One of the first handgun scopes available anywhere. The first of those go back to the '70's, possibly the late '60's. State-of-the-Art back in the day.

My revolvers all wear iron sights so this is the best I can offer.

The XP is an XP-100R, the repeating version that was only made in 1998, the last year of XP production, and is chambered in .223REM with a Burris 3-12x scope with an adjustable objective. The Contender is a first generation Super 14 in 7mmT/CU with a Leupold 4x scope. I also have 14" .223REM and 7-30 Waters barrels for it.

That's exactly the way I bought it. If I was going to do some hunting with this gun I'd probably put a newer scope on it. For now I'll just leave it as a kind of time capsule.

Default Scoped S&W mod. 14-4 8 3/8" K38

I finaly gave in and dug out an old Bushnell Phantom scope mount, a #76-1922- #2 S&W. It is designed for mounting a scope without drilling, and tapping the frame of the revolver, using the sight mounting screw hole, and the rear sight dovetail. I think it was designed to be used with .22 revolvers, but, does not say that. Many years ago I used it on a mod 17 K22 Master piece, with good success. So I thought I would give it a try on my S&W mod 14-4 8 3/8" K 38, using a Redfield 2x LER 3/4" tube scope & mounts. I have it bore sighted, and ready to try it out, but, weather has been keeping me indoors, and have not tried it. Don't know if the mount will stand up to .38 spl. Here is a picture, I hope. NO! Can't get a picture to upload, Sorry!

Default S&W 460XVR

Here is mine.
S&W 460XVR, 14" barrel, original Thompson Center Scope made for the 460. These have been discontinued by Thompson. BiPod came with the 460 when it was ordered.
