Forget large powerful, big bore handguns !
Bears normally pause before eating to say grace. If you are the bear's main course, this is the time to draw your small lightweight, small caliber handgun and shoot yourself, cause this is THE END!

I own a Toklat but, wish they'd of made them in .480 Ruger!

Default Not Really a Bear Thread

Used to have a Hamilton Bowen converted Redhawk in .475 Linebaugh that I got from a guy in Alaska, but not much need for anything of that size here in Virginia. Besides, it beat the snot out of my wrist the first cylinder I put through it. Had it for a week before I traded it for a Browning Citori.
