29-3 is back!
Just went to the range to try out the 29-3 that I sent in to Smith and Wesson before the Coronas. Got it back after a trigger and hammer replacement. Good job! Excellent service! Got it fixed! Sent it back good as new!
And most importantly, withstood 200 rounds.
Pics or it didn't happen
Keep in mind, I'm a DA shooter and haven't really shot a revolver without a red dot in over a year maybe. I mostly shoot DA - red dots only. And dont shoot with irons.
Best 10 consecutive shots at 25 yards. SA. After I figured out the sights were that off. I put a red circle to indicate where I was aiming, and you could see where the 10 shots landed. Shooting at this range was a blurry mess. And glasses were fogging up with the mask.
And a best at 7 yards. With 12 shots.
Again. Thank you SAW for fixing my gun!

Good to see S&W treated you right Lou. Looks like they still have some old parts still lying around.
Not a bad group at all for 25 yards, especially not being used to open sights. I know cause I struggle with open sights too. I'm sure the fat cylinder throats don't help with accuracy either.
Oh, thanks for the dirty pics too!!

I was glad too.
I noticed the windage was leaning to the right a bit but I didn't have the SAT with me. And didn't want to risk damaging the screw head(with the wrong screwdriver) .
And it did have .433 throats when it left to the factory.
I thought, for me accuracy would fall at about the 15 yard line. Lol!

FYI, I just purchased a target hammer for my 29-6 from S&W. They are in stock and I believe so are target triggers.

Happy Father's Day everyone!!
I probably should have included pics of how I got it back from the factory. They did have to notify me that the trigger would be a MIM piece. I wasn't worried.
In the pics below, you can see the pieces. I'm glad they worked out.
The trigger is also non serrated. Which is fine. Because with the right grip, I'll be shooting DA with it.
Original parts were under the foam. I didn't see them until later.

I am mainly a DA shooter and prefer a smooth trigger for that. I wonder why they said they would fit the .300" trigger only?? And an mim piece.
It worked out for me I guess. This'll be a shooter.

A 29-6 should already have a target hammer.

Very nice, glad S&W took care of you. What was the load you were shooting?

I did like the SNS and Bayou bullets when I tried them, but my range complained on the splatter marks I would leave in the back wall. I'm stuck with plated or jacketed at the moment.

They were my go-to plated bullet maker until their quality dropped-off & then the had money issues & wouldn't honor their rebate offers, so I moved on.
