Default 642 vs. 642LS

I've been researching to discover the difference btw the 642 and the 642 LS (.38 spl) but have learned little. The diffferences I've discovered: the LS is about 0.5 oz lighter and comes with wooden grips. From online photos it appears the grip on the LS is a bit narrower. Does anyone have knowledge on how the specs differ?

I bought my wife an LS model a couple of years back and can't tell any difference from my 642. I put those new Hogue grips on both of them.

Thanks for the tip. What Hogue grips are those? Do you like these revolvers and the Hogue grips? Why or why not?
