Default Put a 617-6 on Layaway today!

A month ago I almost purchased a SW model 63-5 3" barrel .22 revolver off the "GI" internet site. I thought I'd wait the weekend and order it on Monday. However I made an unintentional spur of moment stop at LGS and they just received one in. Holy ****! I've been wanting one for a while and I come across two the same day! Needless to say I took it home. Today I went for cigars at shop two doors down from same LGS and despite every effort to avoid it I had to stop in. Low and behold one of the guys sets a SW case on the counter obviously a used gun to price it. It was just purchased and they had not set out yet. He opens the box and It looks like a 4" 617. I asked immediately is that a 617. "Yes". How much are you putting on it. He said what do you want to pay for it. $650 out the door. "It's yours if you want it". It checked out good and clean so I put on layaway. I can't believe I got both now. I'm going now.....to do the happy dance!

Should mention that I also have a 686-3. This 617 should save me a lot of money on ammo! Now I can cut my 686 ammo expense down.

Congrats on your excellent new revolvers.

Both top notch revolvers that are really hot in the market today.

My own 617-6 is a go-to gun. Having 10-rounds in a wheel gun is just too much fun...

Enjoy them both!

The 617 is great gun, and real money saver. Found mine needed a spring job to lighten it up a bit. Thanks to some great folks here worked out little problems. Got this gun mostly for my 14 year old to learn with and also picked up a MP .22 for fun. He likes them both.
