Wood grips for a 629 round butt
So my brother recently purchased a 629 5 inch barrel new.
It came with the rubber round butt finger grooved grips.
He wants wood square butt grips like I have on my model 27-2.
His birthday is coming up and I want to get him a pair.
Where can I find Rosewood large square butt grips that will fit his round butt framed handgun?
Will these work?
Product: Fancy Walnut Grip With Checkering For N Frame Round-Square Conversion
Thanks
Roy

I like these Ahrends round-to-square retro combat grips on my 3" 629.

629-4 with Ahrends Retro Combat RB-SB Conversion in Cocobolo.
625-7 Mountain Gun with Ahrends Tactical Finger Groove RB-SB Conversion in Cordia.
X-ray of the 625-7 showing round butt and square stock.

Yes
But he might like the eagle heritage grips better, they look and feel like the old target grips(cokes).

Altamont has them. I have a set of rosewood round to square N target grips. You can get them plain, or checkered. Prices are decent. Bob

Here is a set of Eagle Heritage grips on my 625-something "Mountain Gun" in 45 Colt. I like them better without the S&W logo, but they can be had with the logo also.

There's a lot of nice N round-to-square grips on Ebay, Altamont and Hogue exotics to name a couple. Sellers Edritch1 or fatboys1011 have the best prices. I have gotten about three pair from those sellers and all were very nice.

Thanks Everyone.
I have shot an S&W 357 with Ahrends Rounded Butt with the finger groves before an I must say the fit felt good. I think he is looking for the old Look so they are all covered here. I was going to surprise him and get a set for his birthday. There are so many good choices here I may have to get him involved. I had 5 screw Highway Patrolman with the target S&W grips that got stolen several years ago. I finally found a replacement few years back and picked up a 27-2 that also has the S&W Target Grips. These two felt really god to my brother so I am trying to get him a set for his 629 he just purchased.
Thanks again
Roy

I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing beats the grips at badgercustomgrips.com. They also do a conversion so he can go round to square!
