Default Price check-selling an unfired 29-6 with box.

Blued 6 inch barrel. I do have pics but not sure how to post them with my pbone. What would be a fair selling price? This is a pre MIM and pre lock revolver.

Thanks

Aaron

Aaron, I recently was in the market for a 29 or 629 and watched prices on GB pretty hard the last few months. I ended up buying a 629-3 Classic which I am very satisfied with. I didn't see any 29-6 guns that were selling for realistic pricing, but saw a few 29-5 models that sold plus a 29-7 (that's what he had it listed as and was supposedly pre-MIM) that I was watching. And the selling price varied between $650-$900 for most of the 29's and 629's I was watching. I ended up paying $800 plus shipping for my 629, which also came with the original paperwork and box too. If the pistol had the paperwork (warranty card and other stuff they stick in the box) and had the original box the selling price averaged on the higher side generally. And 29-2 models and 629 no-dash P&R guns generally sold closer to the $1000 mark and over.

Hope this helps you out some.

I just paid $750 shipped for an excellent condition 6" M29-3, no original box or papers.
The S/N dates it to the mid 1980's.

I hope that info helps a little.

I recently bought a 5" 29-5 "Classic DX" with both sets of grips, but no extra sights, papers, etc. It is in great (95%+) condition. I paid $750 plus tax. I thought I did very well (by NY standards).

I'm looking for a -5 or -6, standard gun with 4" barrel, and I'd be pleased to pay $750, with or without box. I'd expect the same for a 6". For either, I think $750 is the lower end for a clean example.
