Default 686 internal lock

Let's see now I can buy a new 686 6 inch with lock for $635 nib at lgs tomorrow in stock still search for a 686-4 or earlier down the road. Suppose my return will be new cost or near. I bet so and I'll have a new 686 to enjoy right now which can't be too bad. Worst scenario I can't find a pre lock and have $635 in a new 686 6 inch. I guess I'm wanting a 686 and tired of looking for an older one. Wanting other opinions on my rationalizing my situation but I don't think I'm being to far off

Go ahead and buy it. Don't let that stupid lock keep you from a gun you want. You can always get a -4 later.
