Depending on condition, finish and completeness of the package (box, papers, tools, etc.) somewhere between $400 and $2,000+

Well I found the shipping box, display case and all the papers.
I'm much happier now.

First post here and been lurking for a while. I closed the deal today at my LGS for a Model 27-7. It's my first revolver and I pick it up next week (waiting period). I don't think they really knew what it was as the purchase price was $650, no box and in good shape. I will post some pics when I take possession.

Welcome to the forum and double congrats. One for finding a -7 and the other for the price. Post pics when you can but until then, what barrel length? Based on the length (4" & 6.5") the serial # will begin with BAG (4") or BNG for the 6.5".
ETA:
Only produced 100 per different barrel length.
Dunno where you bought it but can assure you they didn't know what they had.

It's the 4" and my lucky # is BAG0047 (27-7) I can't wait to bring it home and fire a few rounds through it.

I know the above post is a year old and the thread even older but thought I'd update with price I saw on GB. A complete and LNIB 6" -7 recently (within last 30 days) sold for over $3200.

Your pics didn't show in your post, but quoting your post and inputting the link into another tab brings you to that page where you can see them. Nice looking gun, man! I think you should also go out and buy a few lottery tickets now too, because your luck is running really high right now, finding that gun for so cheap.

A side question for those of you that have shot one of these. I've always wondered how the double action pull of the gun is changed when a revolver has a higher capacity than "normal", whether that's an 8-shot N-frame or a 10-shot K-frame .22. It would seem that the trigger pull would be shorter, and therefore much faster to shoot.
What's the reality?

My wife has been spoiled by one of these 8 shot beauties, and she can sure burn through the ammo with it too.

Do they require the full moon clips you're using, or is an ease-of-use thing?

No, you don't have to use the clips, but they sure add another dimension to wheel gun use. I have 6 (plus 2 of wife) that use clips. They are milled so that you can use the clips, or not. I like them a lot. I even had my Model 29 milled. The one pictured came from the Performance Center already milled. The others I had done at Clark's.
PS. I forgot about the 1917 I have, which also uses clips. It came from S&W milled.

$3200? Hard to believe these things have gone up that much in value. I still haven't shot mine. Just a safe queen for the time being. Too many others to use for shooters.

I have one. 6 and 1/2 inch number 5. I used it competitively (the gun was, I wasn't). At the IRC it was always good for some notice and conversation. Love that gun.
