Default in a quandry

just received my new model 67 and an anniversary fop commemorative model 10 . Shot the 67 outrageous accuracy at 25ft one big hole[surprised me a little] of 2 inches. Do not think I am going to fire the model 10 it is BEAUTIFUL. It is not easy not to. Thinking of selling it to a collector but it will not be easy . ANY cogent thoughts?

If you shoot a commerative you will loose a ton of value - but S&W commeratives usually do not sell very well - just too many out there so consider your options.

SELL THE COMM. MODEL 10 TO A COLLECTOR. DO NOT EVEN HANDLE IT. GET YOURSELF A CLEAN USED MODEL 10 THAT YOU CAN SHOOT THE SNOT OUT OF, AND ENJOY IT ! ! ! I HAVE BEEN SITTING ON A GORGEOUS 2 1/2" UNFIRED COLT DIAMONDBACK, WITH BOX AND PAPERS FOR 30 YEARS. NOW, IN MY OLD AGE, I AM GOING TO SELL IT---W/O EVER FULLY ENJOYING THE GUN. WHAT'S THE POINT ? ? ? I'M A SHOOTER, NOT A COLLECTOR. SO I'LL MAKE A FEW BUCKS FOR MY SACRIFICE---BIG DEAL……...

If you are unwilling to shoot any gun - just get rid of it at the best price you can. To have a gun just to drool over is a waste (in my opinion). Kind of like being married to Cindy Crawford and never doing the deed! I do not believe in Safe Queens UNLESS your objective is to buy and sell guns for profit. YMMV

To me a M10 is the classic Police Revolver and I would shoot it and be proud to do so. If a gun is taken care of properly it should not get beat up and still be very desirable. I've got plenty of Smiths that have had tens of thousands of rounds through them but one would never know it.
