Model 57 Mountain Gun coming home
Actually managed to get what I think was a very good deal at a gun show today. Gun was represented as having been fired 20 rounds I would grade 98-99%. Came with extra set of pachs, box, key etc. $675 no extra tax/fees. I have a 657 6inch but I really wanted a blue .41 mag MG.

Congrats
That's a pretty good deal, around here even the more common lock guns if they're really crisp are going for north of 750.
Good luck stopping at two

No stopping,, yet. The seller has another. I would have grabbed it too but I started on the wrong side of the gun show hall. I had already bought a lot of brass & bullets as I walked about. By the time I ran across them a pretty good chunk of gun money was gone. If he still has it in 2 weeks it will join its brother, fingers crossed.

Great for you... I bought one when they first came out but as I had two 657 MGs it never got shot. Ended up selling it to a friend's son-in-law who is with the California HP as it was legal for transfer into the state because of the IL...
So all you need now is a pair of holsters...the DeSantis Speed Scabbards are available for about $50.00 and can be had in left and right hand...

Groo here
You went and done it NOW.
Once you start shooting 41's it's all over.
P.S. For a range, target, walkaround the home load ,
Try 6gr Trailboss [1/2 gr under book] and a 215gr SWC.

Over on LoadData I looked up Bullseye/210 bullets. Almost all the loads were between 5-6.2 grains. One listed load was 7.0/210 cast and had a velocity of 1250 fps...
Don't know where you got that load from but Bulleye is very fast burning and THE LAST powder I would use for Magnum loads...

If you want that kind of velocity, 1200+ fps, from a .41 or any Magnum there are just a lot better powders to use than Bullseye. Unique, HS-6, SR4756, 2400, H110/296...keep the Bullseye for the 900 fps target loads...
