Picked this up today. 686 2.5 inch SS
I sold a 2.5 586 a few years back and have always had regret about selling it.
Well I found a man that was selling his 686 2.5 inch and I had to jump on it. I paid 500.00 plus 35 for a transfer fee. I couldn't be more happier. I missed my 586 and now I have the same revolver but in stainless which is what I always wanted. The grips were re finished but he did a good job and it add to it I think with the high gloss. The medallions are covered in what ever he used and are smooth now.

Great buy -- especially when you consider what some people will pay for the old combat grips.

Congrats on a great purchase. Now get that baby over to Nelson Ford and have better than performance center action job and never sell it off again!

Great price on a fine revolver. I bought a used one last year like yours but at a higher price. It is my favorite S&W for its looks and the way it shoots... real accurate and with a great trigger.

I saw no mention of him being in Arizona, unless there is more than one Bakersfield. I am thinking he is in California. And the ability to privately sell a gun went away a long time a go out there.

I love my stainless L frame in .357, but I think I could love the OP's gun a little bit more. And those grips are especially nice...almost too nice for everyday use. Price seems very good, to me. Good luck!

Nice gun. Great price. Too bad about the 586. They're worth more than double (or more) of what you paid for the 686.

THAT'S A BEAUTIFUL REVOLVER AT AN UNHEARD OF PRICE ! ! ! OF MY S&W REVOLVERS, MY 2 1/2" 686+ WILL BE THE LAST TO GO. IMHO, ITS ONE OF THE BEST REVOLVERS S&W EVER MADE………..

You list your address as in Phoenix. Great that you were able to obtain that beauty in Ca. Enjoy.
