Has anyone found a slick light or laser option for mounting under the barrel (home defense)? I tried a couple but they look.... goofy. I'm looking for something that fills the gap between the back of the light and the trigger guard a bit better. I'd prefer just a light, but a laser/light combo or just laser option would work too.
I think you're right, its not too bad, but I still dont like the gap or how the light extends past the muzzle...
However I was just looking around and saw this addon for it.. I wonder if it would fit below the bottom contour of the barrel. Looks like it might fit and bring the switch closer to my fingers.
I cant seem to find a picture with this on. I'm actually confused what its for. It looks like it replaces the back battery door on the tlr-1. Is this what you'd hook into for a wired remote pressure switch?
I went to a shop that is known for outfitting the cops for a light for my TRR8. I went with the shop owner's recommendation of the Streamlight TLR-3. It doesn't extend beyond the end of the muzzle.

I like this idea. I'm not sure having the light beyond the muzzle is good long-term unless the gun never gets fired with it in place. I would think it would eventually show some char from muzzle blast.

I actually have a tlr-3, but its so square - its got that huge gap between the switch of the light and the trigger guard.. just looks silly.
My TRR8 was my most accurate, smoothest revolver right out of the box. What this means is that I am confident I can pick it up anytime and hit what I need to.
Adding a TLR-3 has made it a great Home Defense gun. It would work to identify a target and background and blind the target in the process.
I didnt mean its function would be silly.. Just the looks. I'm just having fun with this, researching and seeing if there is that perfect light that will fill in that gap. I love the look of the R8, dont want to ruin its nice lines.
The tlr-3 is actually on my home defense gun (xd9), works and fits great on there.
