Default Large Hands, 642, wood grip possibilities.

I was talking with a young leo this afternoon at a lgs. He qualifies near the top rating with his duty gun. He shoots the 642 well but must change his two handed grip to keep the pistol from rotating horizontally.

He was asking about the possibility of a wood grip for a large hand. Any suggestions?

This might work. I have large hands and like this combination. A 1998 vintage Model 642-1 with older 60s/70s J-Frame stocks and a Tyler T-Grip.

The stocks aren't tacky-feeling and clingy like rubber grips and the T-Grip affords better purchase on gripping the revolver.

I just ordered a pair of these Pachmayr 'Diamond Pro' grips.
Should arrive this week.
