Default Lemon Squeezer ???

I saw a picture of a nickle Model 40 that is called a 'lemon squeezer'??? I really like the looks of it. i had never really noticed a revolver with a grip safety like that before. I have checked the S&W website and apparently they are no longer made. If I should find one in really good shape - what would be a fair price to expect to pay for it? I don't want to put more into it than it would be worth.

The M40-1 was reintroduced in the 2008 to 2010 time frame. There was a 150205 which had a case colored frame, 150223 nickel, and a 150222 with a standard blue frame. None had the internal lock system (ILS), but were built on the newer J-Magnum frame.

They're not exactly flying off the shelf. There was a reason they didn't stay in production long, low demand. I think anything under $500 is a steal. Under $650 is fair for blue NIB. A little more for nickel. A little more for case color. $50 off for no box. I looked on GB and they're not going for big bucks.

It looks like the used originals are selling in the same price range. You might consider a no-dash with a few miles on it.
