I only have a 6 round model 617 but I tend to read threads and info on the 617 regardless. I have noticed that the DS-10, Speed Beez and Ansac come up a lot for those who are into it.

I am thinking the Ansac is the Cadillac as far as price but I have not really researched it since I don't have a 10 shot gun. Then there is the loading block and off to the races you go.

In one past thread a fella mentioned going through enough ammo by hand loading and with the availability of ammo... I have to admit, I go through a box of 50 pretty fast loading by hand in my 6 shot. I can't imagine how much I would burn through with a 10 shot and speed loaders with loading block(s). So much fun in such a little bullet.

Here are a couple of the many past threads.

Thank You all very much ! That's gives me something to go on. I luckily stocked-up on ammo several years before all this Monkey Biz.

I have both the Ansac and the DS-10 . If not reloading on the clock both work well. If reloading on the clock I think the Ansac is a bit more positive on seating the rounds.

However, my DS-10's are the 1st gen. speed loaders , and I haven't tried the newer gen. DS-10's.
I have been well taken care of with all the orders I've had with DS-10. And happy with their service.

A reloading block makes life easier also..

Ansac and a few loading blocks and you are good to go. Ansac costs a little more but well worth it to me.

Default 617 SPEED LOADERS

I've been using one Ansac 10 round loader and a 60 round loading block with good results. Blocks can be 40-60-100 rounds or you could diy to any amount desired. The downside is the block can be knocked over and ammo dumped. I'm not sure what game you're shooting or just informal target/plinking. If you have the coin, getting 5-6 loaders @ 50-60$/per, would be very fast & secure. The Ansac loader reminds me of the safariland type that will only drop the rounds into the cylinder/ nowhere else.

The ANSAC are worth every penny. Photo just for reference.

And the same company also makes loading blocks. Even if you dont plan on shooting a ton of ammo, get the 4 cylinder block as it makes loading the speedloqder much easier on the fingers.
