It's been a daily carry for about two years. It's probably my 2nd favorite firearm of all next to the 'ol 1911.

The grip is half the gun (and almost there in price) as a perfect compromise of good carry shape, surfaces, and control. It allows for shooting just a little faster and a little more accurately with a rubber air gap back strap keeping it comfortable.

It's a fun shooter at no more than fifty rounds at a time. The trigger is incredible and so far it looks like the lockup will stay tight indefinitely.

It's dragged around daily and is attended to once a week for cleaning. It goes to the range roughly once a month. Once set up to reload the caliber hopefully that frequency should increase.

I've got Pachmayr Compact grips on my 442. It's goes with me everywhere I go.

Not quite as pretty as yours so I had to make a pretty holster to carry it in.

I kinda like my 442. I have the CT 305 mounted. It allows me to put my pinky on the grip.

My J frame holsters are ugly but functional. May have to get a fancy one, too.

I almost went that route with the 649 but decided to keep it simple like snubby.

Any problems with HKS speed-loaders and the stock 442 grips?

The standard grips are speed loader friendly.

Had one and it was a great gun. Hope you have many years of enjoyment with it.

Is a 642 OK in this?

Those grips are nice to look at, but a handful to hold onto. It wears a set of Hogue Recoil Tamer grips for EDC.

I shoot it from time to time at the range. P+ ammo really gives off a bark and a flash.

I'm thinking of a 442.

Any problems with the new grips on these and HKS speed-loaders?
