Default TALO?

What exactly is talo. I know they do special run stuff like odd barrel length or calibers. Or engraving. Anything internal like the performance center does? Just curios.

They're a distributor that would order a run of guns (several hundred) from one of the bigger manufacturers.Theyd usually have some cosmetic embellishments and a high price.

TALO is just a large distributor that can afford to order a run of a special model from companies like S&W and Ruger. I believe the minimum you have to order from S&W is 1000 units. TALO has to pay for all of them up front, or when they take delivery. Then they just sell them.

Looks like ARJAY and I hit the post button seconds apart.

Many Talo editions are not much more costly than the standard item. The only one I have is a 22A-1.

It cost me a little less than $50 more than the standard version and the company that makes the stocks on it for Smith & Wesson charges $62 for them if bought separately. Accordingly, when all the upgrades are figured in, a Talo edition is a good deal IF you like those upgrades. Like all special-run guns, since there are fewer of them made, they usually hold their value well.

Thanks for the knowledge. I thought they may have had cosmetics. They always have nice grips that I can't seem to find to buy.
