Default Back home again

Decades ago I purchased this S&W Model 64-3, new, in the box.
I apparently knew what a 'good thing' was at the time.
Shortly after, I made the decision to loan it to my sister. Obviously it wasn't my only firearm.
Well, a few weeks back she indicated that it was getting harder to hold and her wrists were not up to the task.
Now I have a minor dilemma. What do I have that she could use or what should I buy her that would be suitable for her?
I did a lot of reading online and the S&W Body Guard .38 seemed like it needed some looking at. She liked the idea of the laser and the weight.
After studying the gun to greater lengths I decided that she would have to learn the controls (cylinder release) all over again and the laser isn't situated where I think that she would be comfortable with it. I don't support the use of laser's for many reasons. I just know that she doesn't need to trouble her mind trying to turn the darn thing on.

Well, I have a serious case of separation anxiety. Anyone else?
Having said that I decided to swap the Model 64 for my beautiful little Model 30-1 with the Tyler T grip.
She immediately fell in love with it. It fit her just great and she is happy.
Now for all you naysayers, I also gave her a box of practice ammo and a full box of Buffalo Bore defense rounds. It was a sacrifice, albeit a small one.
Next time she drives to my house I will treat her to a range trip and supply all the ammo for her new acquisition.
She is happy, I am happy.
The pictures will show you the condition of this little gem.
Glad it made it home after 34 years.

enjoy,
bdGreen

Good on ya bro! 34 years and it still looks LNIB! I think you're getting the better end of this "trade".

One thing's for sure, you don't have to worry about your model 30 because she sure took good care of that 64! And the .32 is a great choice for her, with factory ammo selections ranging from Fiocchi wadcutters all the way up to the Buffalo Bore PD you mentioned.

I bought her a zippered carry pouch for the Model 64 and that is where it has been all these years.
The Buffalo Bore is as good as I can get for that .32 S&W long. And, it holds six rounds.

I would have separation anxiety with that 30-1. Have her try a Tyler T grip, or a BK grip adapter. It does give you a little better hold.
