Default 686+ ECM barrel American Eagle lrn

I just picked up a new 6" 686+. I have a few boxes of American Eagle 158gr lrn hiding somewhere in my ammo heap. Has anyone had issues with leading with this ammo in an ECM barrel? I have quite a bit of jacketed .38+p and .357 as well, but would like to eat through the cheaper powder puff lrn's while first getting aquainted to shooting the gun.

Give them a try. Shoot ten & check for leading. Every gun's different.

My 686+ 5" barrel does not like lead, cast or swaged, at anything but super slow speeds, no matter what powder I try them with. So I switched to plated Xtreme bullets in it.

Let us know how it does.
