Engraved Model 66
I have a model 66 that is engraved. Underneath the grips, I believe the engraver "signed" the piece. The mark is an S with a line through it. Any idea of who is the engraver?

Welcome to the forum. As suggested above by SAFireman, we are a photo loving crowd. We love looking at these guns -- plain or fancy.

The engraving is well done and very tasteful, I like it. The markings on the grip frame look typical. Nothing jumps out to me as a special engraver's marking.

Absolutely gorgeous revolver you have there. Someone spent some money on that engraving, and on the grips and presentation box as well. To my very limited knowledge, I think most engravers usually sign their work within the engraved area itself. Usually, their signature or initials is highly stylized and intended to blend into the work. The 2.5 inch barreled Model 66 is an iconic revolver - my Model 66-2 was my first S&W revolver - and the extras on yours make it even more desirable. By the way, welcome to the Forum.
Regards,
Dave
