Default Canted rear sight on new 686

My rear sight blade is canted. It is distracting to try and shoot accurately slow fire. It is about 0.020" lower on one side. What do you think S&W would do for me? The gun was test fired 6/28/15. I will be calling them. I just thought I'd get some opinions first. Thanks!

Well...never mind. They are sending me out a new blade. The guy wasn't too eager, but he finally did agree to ship one out. I wasn't impressed with the individual I talked to. But I was impressed with how quickly I got to speak to a human. So thumbs up.

I would hink that they would be happier than having to pay for shipping back and forth. Hope it is the blade and not something else.
Good Luck

Get a bent screw and the rear sight blade will "wave" as it traverses. Very common, actually, at least on S&W adjustable sights since WWII. Never mind the slightly twisted bodies. What really makes me nuts is getting an elevation change when making a windage adjustment. Probably not noticeable if you never shoot past 25 yards, but at 50 to 100yards it can be a source of frustration. (Have yet to shoot regularly at 200yards, but one of these days....)
