Default Texas Ranger 150th Anniversary

This is my Model 19 that I purchased years ago. It came with a presentation kit and knife.

Certainly a great shooter!

Alot of Great looking firearms in this thread. Enjoyed looking at them all. I'll see if I can add to the fun. Here is my 27-2, has the 3 T's. Beautiful dark grain targets. and a very faint turn line.

Love the 27! The deep dark blueing is amazing!

I don't think I've posted this M19-5 RB Snub here yet. It's like new and made around 1981, just when the P&R features were going away. Sometimes
you have to take what you can get, but it still looks really good.

Smile Great Thread with Beautiful Guns...

I think I just wore out my "like" button looking through all these beauties. For me the "Best looking Smith" is...

I'd have to say, the 3.5" 357 factory engraved:

...But I'm partial to these recently modified 8.375" 357's...

But if I have to go post 1980, I sure like looks of the 8-shot 357s (they are mighty fun to shoot as well)...

A lot of favorites here. Here are mine.

For the 19th Century, I have to say the Americans.

For the 20th Century, I have to say, and it's a hard choice, the short barreled Registered Magnum.

For the 21st Century, I choose the 329PD.

Well, it's appearance is an acquired taste, but I like the old fashioned Bodyguard models.

Oh no, it's been two months since this never ending thread has been resurrected. I just picked up this one yesterday. Not my best looking Smith, but after I swapped out the grips for some Altamonts, it's about as good looking as a Model 66 with a 4 inch barrel can be. Now if I can just locate a 66 snub, I'll be all set.

If you want absolute best looking, I suppose it would be this 29-2 bicolor, though I do have a 25-2 and 27-2 that are mint. But they're blued, not bicolors.

Best looking old S&W is this 104 year old Triple Lock Target.

Looks like this one took over from my Model 36 I posted earlier. It is a Model 19-2 that is a few months younger than I am. Looks like early 1963.

Colt's "royal blue" finish has nothing on that gun!

Dang Charlie, I like 'em ALL! I am guessing the grips on the RM in the first picture are KB's (but most of his have a glossy finish like the one'son your long tom), but if they are originals, the grain is the best I have seen in an original pair.

Getting close to 40,000 views and 400 replies on this thread. Maybe not a record, but getting there. Just like a museum. . .you can visit and look around anytime you like.

Surely, it must be time to resurrect this thread. After all, it is a museum, and a museum should never close its doors. Don't be intimidated by some of the amazing guns pictured here. Just post "your" best looking.

Sir,

Where did you get the grips on the engraved 38? I'd love to find a set of those for my 15-1!

Regards,

Eric

This thread has some real eye candy in it! Love those classic revolvers

I thought these made a nice 'pair', love the 45acp. The JM has been upgraded to a 625-4 model of 1989 and my favorite!

617-6. This is my favorite .22, just got her 2 weeks ago. The target grips fit me perfectly. Ejects everything very smoothly and is very accurate. 600 rounds and have not needed to adjust the sights.

My 4 inch 24-3 is the best looking Smith I own today. The gun was almost unfired when I got it in 2013 (bought it from a gun collector here in Norway):

Another of my favourites; my 627 V-Comp. Here with a handgun scope mounted for testing handloads accuracy at the 50 meter range:

Default Best looking

She's not perfect, but in my eyes this 1947 factory nickle M&P, and my birth year gun, is the "belle-of-the-ball"

Yeah, even a M10 can be a best looking Smith. I like the long barrel since it seems to get the bullet halfway to the target as soon as you pull the trigger.

I have been gone for so long that I forgot I owned some S and Ws... Ok, I have a dilemma , I have 2 favorites. The first one is the only model marked 5 inch nickel 4 screw model 29 known to exist. And the other is 2 consecutively numbered serial numbers , model 686 John Wayne Tribute Commemorative America Remembers limited edition with 2 consecutive numbered serial numbers.
