Default Your Best Looking Smith - Post Picture

In your opinion, what is the best looking Smith & Wesson handgun you own? There have got to be some really nice looking ones out there. I had to pick this 19-5 nickel with Altamont grips that I just picked up. It's from 1986; and , as far as looks, it beat out all my other Smiths (which surprised me).

This one is easy.

1970 Model 28-2

The grips aren't original to the gun, but they were inexpensive.

Best looking nickel.
Model 25 in .45 Colt:

Best looking blue.
Model 58 in .41 Magnum.

Best looking stainless.
Model 624 in .44 Special. This thing was really dirty and rough when I obtained it but it cleaned up fairly well.

Probably between these two.

The Holster will work for either.
So it depends if we're BBQing or going to a meeting

Well neither of my snubs are pretty, but the 64 looks pretty good with Ahends boot grips/stocks and Brill style holster from member 05CarbonDRZ.

Around 2000, S&W produced the Heritage line of revolvers for (initially) Lew Horton. Included were models that were case hardened by Doug Turnbull, as well as nickel and blue versions of most of the guns.
Not sure if the later ones were also done by Turnbull or if S&W did them in-house, probably Turnbull.

Here are all the original guns in the Case Hardened finish:

And my favorite of the group, totally stunning:

To me, the blued 4" Combat Masterpiece is the best looking firearm ever made.

Getting to see a lot of the classic Smiths, and the grips being used are awesome. It's looking like Smith hit their high-point sometime in the 1970's-1980's. Great pictures of some super guns.

That's easy , that would be my newest purchase
Mod.48 no dash

No wait, What the heck am I thinking, it's my 586 no dash

Or, maybe it's the mod.19 that I bought for my wife for our 30th

Who am I kidding, I can't pick a favorite, I like em all ! Incl. my stainless guns.
