Hi first off i apologise as i have no knowledge of guns or the terminology associated with them.

I have been asked by a friend to look into a gun that has been left to them
In a will.

Its a smith & wesson co2 revolver mod 586/686.6 set with 4,6 and 8 inch barrels
It has this s9349233 on the gun and 448.00.24 on the paperwork and
On the barcode on the box.

Any help information or estimated value would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks lorraine xx

Welcome.
You might be able to get more info from a site such as pyramidair.com,which specializes in pellet and bb guns. These sorts of guns often need work on their seals after sitting a while,so that would affect value too.

What you have is basically a toy. It's simply an Air Pistol and most likely made in China. IIRC there was a short period when S&W made a CO2 Air Pistol but my memory is that this was sometime in the 1970's and the air pistol was a complete marketing failure. Since both the 686 and 586 were introduced in the early 1980's there is zero chance this is a S&W made Air Pistol. I don't even think there is any chance of it being a licensed imitation. So, as to value, it's only a guess but if the frame is made of metal perhaps as much as 35 dollars, if it's plastic perhaps 5 or 10 dollars.

A bit better than that I think. Many of these copies of centerfire guns were made by Umarex in Germany. They are pot metal or alloy.A three barrel set makes it more interesting and worth more.
