Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me date a 686 no dash with serial number AHY5***. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

I have a no-dash also # ack3673 probably a little earlier than yours. I'm guessing mine is 82 or 83 so maybe one or more of the experts can date both of them.

According to the Standard Catalog of S&W, it would be July or August of 1985.

Best estimate is mid 1983 on ACK3673.
