Default Optic for a 460?

I'd like to take my 460 deer hunting this fall and would prefer some kind of optic on it I think. Would a mid-level red dot be appropriate?

I'm not a fan of any battery powered optic, ever at all.
I prefer a good old fashioned scope with crosshairs.

I'd go with a scope to get the most out of the potential of the .460.
