Default Scored a new toy

I was cruising one of my favorite LGS today and saw a decent looking Model 29-3 with what seems to be a factory ported 3" barrel, round butt and nice wood grips with medallions. I have a fondness for large frame S&W revolvers, especially blue steel ones, and my only other 29 is a 29-2 Dirty Harry special, so I bought it. I will post pictures after I pick it up. SN ALB96XX. It is rather dirty on the outside, but is timed correctly on all six holes. Bore is clean. Smooth trigger and service hammer. White outline rear, red front ramp. Decent price, at least for CA ($600).

$600 for an M29 is a spectacular find in any state.

I would say congrats, but you didn't post pictures!

10-day wait in the People's Republic of CA. Commies run the state. Will post when I pick it up.

Great Pickup. These were not factory ported. Prob MagnaPort. But still worth the 600.
