Granddaughter meets 460 today, loves it.
My 22 year old granddaughter in NY has been going hunting, and to the range with her LEO father and his friends, every chance she gets. She shared this with me today.

Never think it to look at her, 5'-2" and 95lbs., likes her manicures and tiaras. Got her own 12ga and knocks the heck out of skeet too.

460s aren't that bad recoil wise, surprisingly. They do have horrific muzzle blast, though. Especially with the lighter bullets.
I am always happy to see youngsters enthusiastic about revolvers!

Funny that you mention that. She was very impressed by the flame-thrower effect, and had her dad video it and send me a slow-motion clip of it.

Howdy back atcha, from the north side of Greenville, at the base of Paris Mountain.
Love the area after nine years here, but with ten grandkids and an ancient parent still in NY, I don't get to stay here enough.

She's going to make a man very happy some day. I would know, my wife loves to go shooting with me.

The funniest thing is that her father is a gold shield on one of those NYPD special teams, and all his big, macho friends ask if she wants to come along when they go shooting. Sometimes they take her along, even when he's not available. Rumor is she out-shoots some of them. To top it off, her 15 year old baby sister is an even better shot, a real natural, but can't go as often since she is still in high school.

My daughter told me last week that my granddaughter (now 21) asked for a handgun for Christmas, one like grandpa let her shoot when they were back in IL last year. That's a good question, as I took a half dozen with us to the range. I think it might be the Mod 63 as she shot that one the most. She's going to graduate this coming spring from Colo. State, so I'll be finding out what she wants and (if mama agrees) getting here that and buying her a CCW class.

Very cool. Looks like the same .460 XVR that I have and I've found the recoil to be more manageable that firing .454 out of my SRH. It's actually a lot of fun to shoot. Good for her!
