Default Just found & bought a 60-7 LS

Found a nice little 60-7 LS at a local gun shop yesterday for $379. I came home & researched it on this site & found it was somewhat desirable. Thanks! My wife's been wanting to start carrying, so I took her back today & bought it for her. It's a real nice little gun and now I'm kind of hoping the recoil is a bit too much for her so I can become it's owner.

The recipe for that would be: the heaviest bullet at the highest velocity. What factory .38 Spl 158 grainer as the highest MV?

Try the Speer SHORT BARREL 135 grain God Dot +P. Excellent, documented and proven SD round.

You got a great deal, BTW. I don't think the seller realized what he had. Sold it for the price of a modern M642. A gun S&W cranks out like Oscar Mayer makes hot dogs.

Default model 60-7 LS:

Thanks. I purchased it at a gun shop. They do a lot of business, but it seems like, from their inventory and from all the interest of everyone that goes in there, it's all about automatics. I would say they carry 85% autos and 15% revolvers with hardly any used revolvers. Also, I didn't realized the 60-7 was considered a good one until I researched it on this site. They had a new model 60 with a 3" barrel (not a Pro) and it was gone the next day when I went back to buy this LS. I asked the guy about it and he said yeah it went because of the 3" barrel. When I had looked at it, the cylinder tended to stick, but not the LS, it was real smooth all the way around.

Shot it today and liked it a lot. Shot it at 21 feet. Used 158 grain FMJ Herters. I was surprised at the accuracy. Kick wasn't anything to really talk about.
