Default 629-4 Performance Center Sight Help

I just purchased a Performance Center 629-4, 6" ported. The gun came with a scope on it but NO sights. I want to return it to the original configuration. It has a dovetail for front sight. Can anyone guide me to what front and rear sights I need? Where to obtain them? Thanks for the help👍

Rear sight should be easy to find as it is the current rear sight being used on all N and L frame revolvers. Brownells, Midway,gunparts.com and Smith&Wesson will have it.

Problem will be figuring out what size and height of blade to go with based on the specs of the front sight used.

The front sight is going to be harder-it was only used on performance center revolvers like yours.

Best bet is to contact Smith Wesson about both.

Default Front sight

I have the rear assembly on the way from S&W.. They said the front is not available. Hope I did not screw up.

I suspect your revolver is a 629-4 Light Hunter model?

Looks like it takes the same front sight as the current performance center V-comp and Snub models as well as a few others.

Google 629 light hunter and look at the pictures.

Smith should have these in stock? They are still using them on revolvers. Its possible yours is supposed to be taller but that can be compensated for with different height rear sight blades.
