Default J frame Springs question, Red Green Blue?

Just a question what the colors signify in J frame springs. Most Hammer springs I have seen are painted Green, but I have seen red ones. and my Rebound trigger springs are all blue.
Do these have any differences?

Good question. Always figured it was just a run of the mill selection, but color coding would make sense.

Anyone else? Enquiring minds need to know...

All the blue tinted factory rebound springs I have are from recently produced J-frames. They are about 15 coils with a wire diameter of approx. .034". The regular OEM unpainted springs from K, L, and N frames are approx. 17 coils long, and are made with the same diameter wire. I think they may be a bit shorter to accomodate the rebound slides in the J series guns, which are slightly smaller, with a shallower spring recess.

I'm not sure, but I assume the J-frame springs are "color coded" so that they can be easily differentiated from the slightly longer ones for the other, larger model guns. As most of you well know, it's pretty tough installing a regular length, 17 coil spring into one of the J-frame rebound slides.
