Default Really strange

Anyone ever encountered a revolver which has the center pin sticking out too far? I have a PC 500 mag, which when you go to close the cylinder, the center pin doesn't quite clear the recoil shield. You have to press in on it to get it to close.

Gun functions just fine, but I have never run into that. Weird.
