Default .38 Airweight Holster

I purchased a .38 Airweight the other day and want to find a decent pocket holster for it. I would appreciate your input.

Cramer makes a good J-frame pocket holster. No one I am aware of makes a K-frame one except me, and I am not in the business!

Ahoster.com makes a nice Kydex pocket holster. The Kydex keeps its shape, is lightweight and resist moisture. I've tried most of them and the Aholster works the best in my experience.

Best Regards,

I have one of these for my 649. It works very well for me and ,unlike an Uncle Mike's holster, it maintains its shape and location in the pocket perfectly.

El Paso Saddlery offers their horsehide Pocket Max. It's nice for front or rear pocket carry. The horsehide is very tough, but fairly thin to reduce bulk. These are available on Amazon for a slight savings and a fast delivery...

I've used a cheap Uncle Mikes and Desantis Nemesis and been happy with them. The Desantis is a little stiffer.

I think my 642-1 Airweight is the perfect pocket carry handgun. It is light enough to not weigh the pocket down and is as snag-free as you can get for a smooth draw.

Mine generally rides in the Galco pocket holster shown. This holster holds the little revolver just right and stays in the pocket when I draw.

Everything I want in a pocket rig...

Edmo

I've had no problems with the UM's (now Blackhawk) pocket holster, size #3, and own several. Some folks prefer the slight extra size of the #4 but that's easy enough for you to determine. IIRC, this rig goes for around $10 at WM.

Another vote for the DeSantis Nemesis pocket holsters. I use a pair of them for my EDC - a Model 38-0 in one pocket, and a Model 638-1 in the other. If your pants pockets can accommodate the size and bulk, I know of some who use a Remora (IWB) holster as a pocket holster. This gives them the option of using it as an IWB if the need arises.

Regards,

Dave

I use a Remora with my P32. Very versatile and quite a bargain...

I use a DeSantis Superfly for my 637. Sticks to the pocket well, front or back and I can use it with my Shield too. I think it was about $20. I've had it for a few years. Hope this helps!DeSantis Super Fly Pocket Holster Ambidextrous S&W Bodyguard 380 Nylon

another vote for this one--it is not pretty or fancy, but very functional. The size three fits the 642/442 very nicely. Works very well in blue jean pocket carry, and stays in your pocket when the weapon is drawn.
