I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in carry gear, but I'll give this a try.

I've been looking at the Eagle grips, Secret Service grips for a RB model 10. Any opinions on these? This would be used for carry.

I have a set of the Eagle SS Boot grips on a Colt DSII. I've had them around 25 years. They have held up well. Of late I'm more of an Altamount Grip fan, They are half the price and you have a better selection. Worth the look.

I don't own any but I've done a bit of web research. I found a number of post of folks not happy with the fit of these grips. The "gripers" may be a very small number of buyers but it was enough for me to look/buy elsewhere. I went with Ahrends instead.

I've had one set for about 20? years...... they are OK..... a bit smaller and thinner than Spegel Boot grips (my favorite)

Boot grips are interesting beasts.......... while they all basically look alike.... minor differences in front to back "length" and thickness, etc. make a world of difference in how they feel ... in your hand.

For example... Craig Spegel is my favorite grip maker....... the SS grip I have is OK....... I actually like the Hogue Bantam grip on a J-frame but think they are too thick on a K-frame.......................

It's why over the years we accumulate not only guns but boxes of Grips and holsters....... the search for the "perfect" gun,grip or holster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to send Eagle grips back for very poor fit. Went to Kim Ahrends grips.
Put my name on the wait list for Spegel, but he told me it's now a one year wait.

Eagle stocks are grossly overpriced. The quality is inconsistent. The quality of the wood is so-so. The finish is muddy. The fit is usually loose. Other than those things, they're really nice. You could do better with Ahrends for a lot less. Even the mediocrity of Altamont is better than Eagle, and they cost less than Ahrends. Good luck.

I have a set made of rosewood on my S&W Mdl. 13 and I love them, which I have small hands. They look simply beautiful on that revolver, and the fit is excellent.

If they fit your hands then they are good to go. I have them on several RB j frames. The Eagle grips provide a natural point for me. Standard factory grips with the addition of a T grip work for me too but the Eagles fill my hand a little better. Revolver grips are a very individual thing. What works for one does not always work for another. Try them if you can before buying. If you can't, you should have no trouble selling them.

I have a set on a J-frame, one of my best friends bought them for me a couple of years ago. They wouldn't fit. He sent them back and they did make it right.

I do like them, and have been tempted to buy another set or two. When/if I do, I hope they fit the revolvers the first time.

I have a set on my 640, good fit and finish and fit me like a glove. They seem to handle recoil well too. Note, what works for me may not work for another, this is a personal thing.

Have these on my Python. Fit is perfect.

I bought some last Christmas. They didn't fit so I sent them back for adjustment. They came back and still didn't fit so I trimmed them up with a utility blade. Now they fit very well.
